MACFOIL FS-128 Radiant Heat Barrier Insulation

MACFOIL FS-128 is a 6-layer double-sided aluminum foil laminate with a superior radiant heat reflective property for roofing insulation and an effective vapor barrier for the air-conditioning duct wrap.

MACFOIL FS-128 is produced by extruding 2 layers of co-polymer resins as bonding agents onto 1 layer of high-strength kraft paper and heat-welding 2 layers of aluminum foil and 1 layer of reinforcing 3-way fiberglass scrim in a perfect seal. MACFOIL FS-128 has high scuff resistance on both sides of the products and high puncture and tensile strength in all directions. It has very low water vapor permeance and can prevent damage from minor roof leaks due to its water resistance.

Applicaton

MACFOIL FS-128 is designed for use as a radiant heat barrier for roof and wall insulation in the building industry, particularly in countries having tropical climate, high humidity and rainfall. MACFOIL FS-128 has a high R-value and can reduce heat flow downwards by 70-80% when properly installed and designed on the basis for a total system. MACFOIL FS-128 is also suitable as a vapor barrier in air-conditioning ductwork, computer flooring, ceilings and pie jacketing where moisture control is required.

Installation

Install with a 75-100 mm overlap between runs, with each higher run lapping over the layer below. The product must be installed in such a way to prevent water from pooling. Heat-Barrier Insulation may be installed across spans up to 1200mm without the need of a supporting mesh.

Product Size

Standard Roll Size: 1220mmx 66.5 mtr (81.13m2)
